National Scrapbooking Day
Today is National Scrapbooking Day. National Scrapbooking day is a day to celebrate (through fabulous sales and crops) both paper (or traditional) and digital scrapbooking. I’m not paper scrapper (I can’t stand the thought of having to cut my precious photos), but I am an addicted digital scrapbooker. Digital scrapbooking is just like paper scrapbooking, except it is done on the computer, using a graphics program. (I use Photoshop CS3). There are lots of sales going on in digi land, especially at CGEssentials, owned by designer and photographer Kim Hill. (view my last post about Kim’s work here) Kim is running a 40% off sale and if you spend $20 you get a free gift. I’m going to try and check out some of the sales, before I go to the Relay for Life tonight.

Relay For Life of Kaua’i Hawaii

Tomorrow, my family and I will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. My MIL participates every year, and this year we decided to join in. I’m particularly excited to see the Ceremony of Hope, where luminaries are lite to “celebrate the survivorship of people who have battled cancer and lived to tell the tale. Many commemorate the lives of those who have been lost to this disease. All represent a person who has been profoundly affected by cancer and the family and friends who continue to be touched by that experience.” Our team raised almost $2,600 for the cause.

Friday::Featured Seller|Yvonne Totes — TakeATote.com
Yvonne Totes on etsy, sent me one of her fun coupon/receipt pouches recently. This little pouch is super cute and great for lots of different uses. Yvonne Totes, markets these little guys as coupon or receipt pouch, but I see potential as sunglass holders, cell phone pouch, notepad and pencil pouch, compact makeup and lip gloss pouch… Right now, I’m using my little pouch as a cell phone and key holder. My purse often becomes a bottomless pit, so this little pouch has become very handy in helping my find my ringing cell phone faster.
Yvonne Totes is “a mother daughter owned business in Auburndale Wisconsin. Our product line consists of fashionable shopping bags/handbags, travel neck pillows and athletic bags.
With over 25 years industrial sewing experience we strive to make a quality made in the USA product at an affordable price. “
You can also check them out at takeatote.com. I also recently featured one of their reusable shopping bags. ::Rewind here::
