I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I am really loving up close, stylized photographs.  I found this flickr pool, Tabletop Photography and some of the photos are really simply amazing.

I’ve had the number 8 on my mind a lot lately.   I have 8 weeks until this baby is due.  I have to keep him in at least 5 more weeks, at which point he’ll be considered “at term”.   This pregnancy has been a little difficult, and I have my dr threatening me with bedrest if I don’t take it easy.  Right now I’m on “decreased activity”, which is just as bad as bed rest in my book.  I can’t really do anything, but sit and rest with my feet up.  It’s been hard on me, my 2yr son and my husband… and we still have a few more weeks to go!  I’m not the kind of person to just sit around with my feet up… I just don’t know what to do with myself.  Today, I’m off to the library to find some good books, to help pass the time. It’s been ages since I’ve picked up a good book.  any recommendations?

Today’s flickr photo theme is construction vehicles.  I chose this theme because my little guy loves construction vehicles. He is currently obsessed with construction trucks, diggers, loaders, excavators, backhoe loaders….. There is a lot of construction work going on, on the highway outside of our little neighborhood. He loves going for a drive to see all of the men working and using these big machines.

I just love the post processing of these photos… it makes them look so much more impressive.

I love fresh flowers. I mean who doesn’t?  If I had the money, I’d have fresh flowers in my office, living room and dining room every day.

I just love browsing through the macro tag on flickr. Macro photos are photographs of objects taken really close. Macro photography allows you to take a detailed, extremely close-up photograph of anything.

Don’t these just look delicious?  I’m really craving strawberries right now.    I just love the contrast between the red fruit and the green stem.  yum!

Hi everyone. I’m back. I had an amazing weekend with my family. We spent Friday at the beach (the waves were up and a little rough, so we didn’t spend much time in the water), we went up to the North Shore of Kauai on Saturday, and spent Sunday lazing around the house. We had lots of great food, good conversations and lots of fun memories. I’ll be back to post some pictures, once I get them edited and out of my camera.

While browsing through flickr I found the most amazing photos. I was browsing through abstract and macro photo tags. There are some simply amazing photographers out there sharing their work on flickr. Here are some of the photos I was drawn too and added to my favs.

Today’s post is a little late and a little short. I’m still recovering from yesterday. Yesterday was my SIL 26th birthday and we had a little get together at our house. Lots of great food (yummy steak, king crab legs, opihi (Hawaiian for a seawater Limpet–according to Wikipedia), saute mushrooms, baked potato…. My husband and I, made a 6 layer chocolate cake (very reminiscent of PF Changs Chocolate Wall). My little guy and I blew up balloons and hung streamers. I even let my little one stay up way past his bedtime to partake in the festivities. I have all of these great birthday party memories and NO not even one photo! shame on me! so anyways, after all of that birthday partyness (is that a word?), today I’m hanging. I can’t wait to get home (yikes, did I admit I’m blogging at work?) and pawn off my little guy on my husband and take a nap.
