**Oops! I thought I posted this yesterday! I go in to starting writing today’s post and I realize I never posted yesterdays… sorry my blog readers!**
Instructables.com “is a web-based documentation platform where passionate people share what they do and how they do it, and learn from and collaborate with others.”
Instructables dot com is a fun little website that allows users to “show and tell”. Some of the categories on Instructables.com include food, games, life, art, craft, kids, photography. Here are a few things you can learn, that I found pretty interesting…

Thursday::Photographer Find|FotoFiction
I found this photographer, Foto Fiction, while browsing the photography section at etsy. I was drawn to the contrast of colors and soft backgrounds.
“My work is deliciously imperfect. My store name Foto Fiction is meant to imply that I do not always attempt to capture the world exactly as others may see it. The beauty of fiction is the ability to take artistic license and create what defies conventional traditions.”
Foto Fiction::Seaside Sunlight

For my 2nd post supporting my state’s local artists and designers, I wanted to feature Lily Lotus. I found them via the Hapa|Hale blog and immediately feel in love with the soft colors and lovely prints. They have a boutique in Kaimuki on 1127 12th avenue. Next time I’m in Honolulu, I’m definitely going to check them out.

Do you do it? eco-friendly grocery bags
so have you jumped on the band wagon by using the plethora of eco-friendly or “green” grocery bags that are out there in the market?? I haven’t, but I think I have a good reason not too. I re-use my bags, every single one. I have a cute little plastic grocery bag holder in my kitchen (that I made in home-ec when I was still in school) and I save each bag that comes into my home. I use these bags to line my smaller trash cans for the bedrooms, office and bathrooms. I also have a toddler still in diapers, so his stinky diapers get wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown away. I also use the bags as padding when mailing out packages. I really would like to use the “green” bags, besides the fact that I’d be going green, there are so many really cute bags out there. And I’d like to have the store clerk at my local grocery store stop telling me to buy the store’s green grocery bag and give me a disapproving look when I decline, every time I go in to make a purchase.
I saw these really cute bags via Creature Comforts last week and loved them. These are really fashionable and they have something for everyone.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention some re-usable grocery totes for sale over at etsy. Here’s a sampling of my favorites.

Wednesday::Mod Motifs|Fun Print
Today’s post is a little late and a little short. I’m still recovering from yesterday. Yesterday was my SIL 26th birthday and we had a little get together at our house. Lots of great food (yummy steak, king crab legs, opihi (Hawaiian for a seawater Limpet–according to Wikipedia), saute mushrooms, baked potato…. My husband and I, made a 6 layer chocolate cake (very reminiscent of PF Changs Chocolate Wall). My little guy and I blew up balloons and hung streamers. I even let my little one stay up way past his bedtime to partake in the festivities. I have all of these great birthday party memories and NO not even one photo! shame on me! so anyways, after all of that birthday partyness (is that a word?), today I’m hanging. I can’t wait to get home (yikes, did I admit I’m blogging at work?) and pawn off my little guy on my husband and take a nap.

So here’s a print I love. It’s called pink fireworks and it’s by makeshiftmodern. I found it via etsy.

Monday::Musings|I’m still sick
I took a long weekend off to rest but this head cold of mine is hard proving hard to recover from. Of course it doesn’t help being 6 months pregnant and unable to take any type of cold medicine. I’ve been loading up on oranges and my current craving, peanut butter with pancakes.

anyways, i’ve been browsing etsy looking for some original artwork for the nursery. my 2yr son will be sharing a room with the new baby for now and I’m starting to get the room ready. We just moved into our house in February and i’m still at work decorating. Here’s some of my favorite finds.
OopsyDoodleDesigns-Adorable Turtle Canvas
Ellie the Elephant-sweetmixcreations
Duckalicious-sweetmixcreations
Fifi Fish-sweetmixcreations
I just love these canvas acrylic animal inspired paintings. I found some other really adorable prints at tiddlyink, but I find that I’m really drawn to canvas.
