What is permanent Make up or micropigmentation?

This is the application of placing hypo allergenic micro pigments into the the upper layer of the skin using cosmetically graded needles. The pigment will, after a healing process, stay in the skin for a number of years. It will break down and fade with time, dependent on the patients age; skin type and lifestyle.

This procedure is also referred to as permanent make-up, semi permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing or micro pigmentation.

Microblading, semi permanent makeup, digital blading, nano blading, permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing, micropigmentation… so many names, but the end result can be the same and is down to the technicians skill. It’s just a style/technique and a different place of equipment used to perform the treatment. Microblading can be a lot more traumatic on the skin than a digital machine, often leading to scarring after a few treatments yet clients think they are going for the less invasive/less permanent option. This is not the case.

Anyone who wears makeup will benefit from semi permanent makeup.

• If you lack colour and shape to your lips or wish to enhance them without fillers.

• If you regularly pencil in your eyebrows, would like to achieve a better shape or fill gaps where they have been over plucked.

• If you want to enhance your eyes or want to effect of the eyeliner without the running and under eye smudging.

• If you are allergic to traditional cosmetics or simply wish to save time in the mornings applying makeup.

Yes totally, the strictest of hygiene and sterilisation standards are followed.

The components used in each treatment are disposable so you can be assured that your treatment is carried out with equipment opened just for you.

There is no way to determine before hand exactly how long your colour will remain visible. It depends on your individual skin type, skin routines, sun exposure,,lifestyle, colour choice, medication levels and general health. The majority of people find that the treatment lasts from 1 to 3 years. Here at Simply Embellish, we recommend a colour refresh treatment after 12 months to maintain the perfect results.
Yes, it can be useful to establish the colour required.
No, we would prefer you keep all your own brow hair and don’t even tweeze them before you come in, as we like to work with your natural brow shape.

Avoid drinking coffee, take any ibuprofen or aspirin (unless medically advised) or alcohol the night before your treatment., this will increase the likelihood of you bleeding and result in poor pigment retention.
Please remove any false lashes before attending your eyeliner appointment, or your treatment will not go ahead and your booking fee will not be refunded.

If you wear contact lenses you will need to bring glasses to wear immediately after the treatment.

Your treatment will begin with a thorough consultation, during which we will discuss exactly what you would like from your treatment. Your skin tone and type will then be analysed and a colour will be mixed specifically suited to your skin tone and hair colour. Facial symmetry will then be addressed and a shape will be designed to enhance and compliment your features.
When you are happy with your shape, colour and placement, the treatment will go ahead.

For the best possible results and to avoid complications. always follow the aftercare advise give by your specialist.
You will need to wait at least 21 days after botox or filler before having a treatment. Please note that having botox or filler will alter the shape and symmetry of your treatment. Lip filler also reduces the amount of pigment retention.
You should allow 2 hours for new procedures and for retouch appointments 1 hour 30 minutes.
A minimum of 4 weeks must be allowed before any further treatment can be carried out. We advise between 4-6 weeks although if you have medical concerns it may affect the healing procedure and would then advise to wait 6-8 weeks before treating.
If you are having a lip treatment and you suffer from cold sores you MUST take Zovirax/Aciclover tablets 5 days before and 5 days after your treatment.
Your eyeliner cannot be done if you have false lashes on. They must be removed prior to treatment. You must then wait 2 weeks before getting your lashes done again.
A patch is required 12 to 24 hours before the treatment. This does not however, guarantee that you will not have a reaction to the pigment at any time in the future.
Everyone tolerates pain at different levels, but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort will be minimal. We will ensure you remain comfortable at all times.
You should not wear makeup in the treated area directly after your treatment and for the next 7 days.
I have known Anne for 20+ years. She is exceptionally professional and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to have treatments from her. Anne knows the industry inside out and was my senior area manager for many years. I learned a great deal from her in that time.

Eyebrows

Permanent Make up can transform your eyebrows. It can take years off you whether you have sparse, over-plucked, patchy brows or are suffering from a hair loss condition or have been through chemotherapy, or if you simply want to add colour and definition. If you are wanting a celebrity ‘WOW’ brow or an extremely understated natural hair simulation brow, this is the treatment for you.

Eyebrows really do make a huge difference: they will frame the face, can make you appear younger and draw attention to the eye area. A blend of medical grade mineral pigments is mixed for each client, so permanent Make up is suitable for all hair & skin colours.

Hairstroke / Nano Brows
The Hair Strokes effect brow technique is used to mimic natural hairs using the finest nano needles to create tiny individual hairs. Pigment are implanted under the skin to create a natural looking brow. This is an ideal treatment for people who have experienced hair loss and don’t want a really obvious ‘made up’ brow. This is the most natural of all looks offered.

Ombré
A soft graduated shading technique that looks like air brushed powder under the skin. It gives an incredibly natural multi dimensional finish, that is wonderfully flattering for any brow. This technique is perfectly customisable so a bolder look is also possible.

Powdered Brows
This technique mimics the ‘effect’ you achieve when you use a brow powder or pencil. It offers a ‘blocked in’ appearance as the pigment is applied using a technique that covers the brow area from the inner brow through to the tail in one block colour. It adds depth, definition, and results in a more ‘made up’ look. When healed, you will enjoy a permanent, defined but soft powdered look

Combination Eyebrows
Liberate yourself from your brow pencil. Create more volume and shape in your brow with the addition of a few expertly placed natural looking micro fine hair strokes. This eyebrow tattoo technique is excellent for balancing asymmetrical brows and filling in gaps leaving you with beautiful naturally shaped and full brows. The hair strokes are created with the Nano needle, finest most advanced needle available
