What is permanent Make up or micropigmentation?
This is the application of placing hypo allergenic micro pigments into the the upper layer of the skin using cosmetically graded needles. The pigment will, after a healing process, stay in the skin for a number of years. It will break down and fade with time, dependent on the patients age; skin type and lifestyle.
This procedure is also referred to as permanent make-up, semi permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing or micro pigmentation.
Microblading or permanent make up?
Who can have permanent make up?
Anyone who wears makeup will benefit from semi permanent makeup.
• If you lack colour and shape to your lips or wish to enhance them without fillers.
• If you regularly pencil in your eyebrows, would like to achieve a better shape or fill gaps where they have been over plucked.
• If you want to enhance your eyes or want to effect of the eyeliner without the running and under eye smudging.
• If you are allergic to traditional cosmetics or simply wish to save time in the mornings applying makeup.
Is it safe?
Yes totally, the strictest of hygiene and sterilisation standards are followed.
The components used in each treatment are disposable so you can be assured that your treatment is carried out with equipment opened just for you.
How long does it last?
Should i bring my brow pencil / lip colour with me?
Do i have all my eyebrows shaved off?
What should i do or not do before my treatment?
Avoid drinking coffee, take any ibuprofen or aspirin (unless medically advised) or alcohol the night before your treatment., this will increase the likelihood of you bleeding and result in poor pigment retention.
Please remove any false lashes before attending your eyeliner appointment, or your treatment will not go ahead and your booking fee will not be refunded.
If you wear contact lenses you will need to bring glasses to wear immediately after the treatment.
What will happen on the day of my appointment?
Your treatment will begin with a thorough consultation, during which we will discuss exactly what you would like from your treatment. Your skin tone and type will then be analysed and a colour will be mixed specifically suited to your skin tone and hair colour. Facial symmetry will then be addressed and a shape will be designed to enhance and compliment your features.
When you are happy with your shape, colour and placement, the treatment will go ahead.
